Dupe for Ever Hip Cremesheen Lipstick by M.A.C from Give Me Liberty of London

I have been searching for a dupe for Ever Hip Cremesheen Lipstick by M.A.C for about two to three years. Ever Hip was released as a limited edition lipstick in the Give Me Liberty of London collection in 2010. Ever Hip remains a favourite colour to wear because it is a soft natural pink with the slightest tinge of coral on my lips with a glossy finish. In the bullet, Ever Hip is a peachy-orange. I have been searching a lipstick that matches this colour exactly because Ever Hip is running low in the bullet, and I also find that the product is getting old.

There is no change in the smell and texture of the product but I know that I got it six years ago and I am not the most comfortable with it.

Furthermore, Ever Hip is a top choice on many wishlists of makeup afficionados worldwide. So, I think a good dupe for it will benefit many.

I have searched through all brands that I can find in Singapore, by swatching the Ever Hip lipstick from the bullet and comparing the colour in stores. I have found only three lipsticks that have some resemblance. I do see subtle differences and I will describe them below.

The lipsticks are shown in their tube under sunlight below:

The swatches for Ever Hip and its possible dupes are as follows:

From left, Nippon Cremesheen by M.A.C, Ever Hip Cremesheen by M.A.C,  NU37 Beige Truffle by Maybelline Coloursensational Nude, and Coral Blossom Amazonian Butter Lipstick by Tarte (rightmost and below).

The same swatches are shown under sunlight as follows:

From left, Nippon Cremesheen by M.A.C, Ever Hip Cremesheen by M.A.C,  NU37 Beige Truffle by Maybelline Coloursensational Nude, and Coral Blossom Amazonian Butter Lipstick by Tarte (rightmost and below).
Colour
Ever Hip is a soft natural pink with tinges of rose and peach. Nippon by M.A.C is the most similar, but a teeny bit more dull as it has more rose tone. Beige Truffle by Maybelline is the next most similar but visibly more pink, less rose and less peach. Coral Blossom by Tarte is more coral, warmer, more orange in tone.

Other points of comparison
First, the finishes of all three dupes are 99% similar to Ever Hip - highly glossy.

Second, the pigmentation of all three dupes are also 95% similar. Beige Truffle by Maybelline is the most pigmented, followed by Coral Blossom by Tarte. The cremesheen formula by M.A.C is less pigmented and allows my natural lip colour to show through ever so slightly. Both cremesheen lipsticks by M.A.C are buildable to the same level of pigmentation as Maybelline after running them over twice.

Third, Nippon by M.A.C has a teeny bit more of silver glitter than all the other three lipsticks. But this has negligible impact on the overall look.

Fourth, the Maybelline Coloursensational is the most comfortable to wear and also lasts the longest. The M.A.C Cremesheen formula are comfortable but could get a little chunky on the lips as time passes. The Tarte formula does not last on my lips and is chunky from the start of application.

Overall
I will go for Nippon Cremesheen by M.A.C as a dupe for Ever Hip because there is no visible difference between the two when I wear them on my lips. Nippon is a permanent colour.

However, I always feel joy when I wear Beige Truffle from the Nude line of Maybelline Coloursensational lipsticks because the formula is top-notch, so affordable, and the packaging is stunning.

To what extent do you agree with my analysis based on the swatches? Would Nippon be the best dupe?

See you around!
