"All Glossed Up" by Hard Candy, is this sweet or bitter?

Who hasn't jumped on the band wagon of some type of jumbo lip pencil? I don't know what I was expecting from Hard Candy, but it sure wasn't this. This was a little sweet and sour for me. The wrapper is misleading to the filling LOL. As you can see the swatches below, the color does not come close to what you think you're getting. I would have like to have seen a "cute" name to them, rather then an assigned number. The nameless mauve tube in #3152 swatches a rose tone and the nameless red tube in #3155 is almost the same color as #3152 with a slight more red pigmentation to it. When worn, there's color but not the color I was hoping for. This is slightly see-thru more or less a bright wash of color. This claims to be a creamy lip stain that leaves a hint of color. I would say a tad more then hint of color, but nowhere close to a lipstick. As far as a lip stain, there was no staining on my lips. I would agree that these are creamy, somewhat like a lip balm feel to them. I like these, just not sure if I'll ever grab for theses. I purchased this set at Walmart for $4.88 extremely affordably.

If you're a big fan of Maybelline "Color Whisper" I would say these are a dupe. Not similar, but a dupe when it comes to texture and performance. As far as color dupes, I don't own enough "Color Whisper's" to answer that.

Side note: Wowzers like I previously stated I purchased these at Walmart in a gift set for $4.88 for the set or four. Each jumbo lip pencil has 2.6 g of product in it. These are skinnier then a typical jumbo lip pencil and from the pictures I have seen, the ones sold in store are about the size of every other jumbo lip pencil out there. Now for the big kicker, these retail singly for $5.00. Also there are names to them. From my comparisons I believe that #3151 is Cupcake, #3154 is Chic, #3152 is Mauveous and #3155 is Red Minx. Now what I find to be most entertaining is that the amount of product in this skinnier jumbo lip pencil, is the same amount you'd find in a larger chubbier lip pencil. In the end I feel like I scored. I purchased this gift set to see how these worked out. For less then the price of one, I received four not bad at all. I feel like a winner LOL!

Now, would I recommend this, well for the regular retail price of $5.00 and it being a dupe for Maybelline "Color Whisper." I say if you're a fan of the "Color Whisper" then yes. I think jumbo lip pencils are easier to use then a lipstick tube. Also these are cheeper then the Maybelline "Color Whisper." Just keep in mind that the color on the tube may not be the actual color of the product when worn.
